The masterclass “Climate change, impact and risk for Chile”, dictated by professor Álex Godoy Faúndez, Doctor Honoris Causa from Wisconsin Green – Bay University, who is also Chair of the Center for Research and Sustainability, inaugurated the 2019 Faculty of Engineering academic year, at Universidad del Desarrollo.

The activity was presided by the Faculty Dean, Mr. Fernando Rojas Ochagavía, and it gathered several Faculty authorities, professors, faculty administrative and students. In the exposition, professor Godoy emphasized on the main challenges to engineering regarding climate change problematics, as well as the necessity to generate new conditions for production that allow a productive development that goes hand by hand with the principles of sustainability.
