With great success began last Friday, May 10, a new academic year for master’s programs in Industrial Engineering and Systems, Master’s in Management of Sustainability and Master’s in Project Management of the Faculty of Engineering of the Universidad del Desarrollo.

In the activity, the students of the three programs were able to participate in an introductory talk by Paulina García, Postgraduate Coordinator of the faculty, and then an interaction activity by Constanza Hasbún, a psychologist from the university, where the new students were able to talk and explore their main strengths and weaknesses as students. At the same time, the instance was useful to share the expectations that each student has with the program, its contents and teaching dynamics.

In the words of the Head of postgraduate studies, continuous education and extension, Héctor Valdés, «We are satisfied with the reception that the different programs have had in our students, who have leaned towards a distinctive institutional seal and linked to responsible professional training, which puts emphasis on the acquisition of real professional tools that allow a better development in the labor market «.

In addition, this year marks the premiere of the Master´s Degree in Project Management, a program that extends the offer of the Faculty of Engineering, being consistent with the demands of the market. At the same time, the focus of training is placed on professional praxis.

For closing the ceremony, the students participated in the class “Topics on strategic management”, given by de Faculty Dean, Mr. Fernando Rojas Otchavarría, an academic activity that officially initiates the study cycle of the new students.
